Abstract

This chapter explores how emerging technologies – especially AI, blockchain, and stablecoins – are transforming the accounting and financial services landscape. It outlines the implications for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) workforce trends, real-time data demands, advisory services, and margin compression. It also analyzes recent U.S. policy shifts under the Trump administration, including the GENIUS Act and pro-crypto regulatory changes at the SEC and OCC, as catalysts for digital dollar dominance. Additional focus is placed on AI regulation, ESG-driven power needs, and the evolving role of financial professionals. Ultimately, the chapter argues that strategic adaptation and continuous upskilling are essential for navigating this rapidly digitizing environment.
