Abstract

This chapter focuses on building ethical capacity for knowledge capital. The authors explain how capabilities and competencies create capacity. Three primary knowledge ethics capabilities include: (1) auditing and monitoring core business processes to ensure they are ethically compliant, (2) developing learning and awareness-building programs related to knowledge capital and knowledge dilemmas, and (3) establishing or expanding an ethics governance system to address knowledge ethics. Finally, the chapter considers the competencies critical to support a knowledge ethical organization.
