Abstract

In the above article [1] , we identified a typographical error in the PVLIB (SAPM) temperature equation reported in Table 4 (Temperature Modeling Approaches in PV Frameworks). The discussion regarding the apparent PV module over-cooling behavior at ultra low wind speeds by SAPM has been repositioned and supported with a graphical comparison of the DC power temperature correction factor. Specifically, the discussion is framed in terms of the multiplicative temperature correction factor, $1+\gamma (T_{\mathrm {cell \:or \:module}}-T_{\mathrm {ref}}(25\:or \:45))$ , where values exceeding unity indicate a DC power gain relative to the reference temperature. Importantly, this correction affects only the manuscript presentation; the published results, figures and analyses remain unchanged because the implementation uses the validated pvlib.temperature.sapm_cell function directly from PVLIB.
