Abstract

With the advancement of autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication is attracting attention as a means to enhance traffic safety. Efficient and reliable Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) message exchange is essential for cooperative automated driving. This study investigates under what conditions New Radio V2X (NR-V2X) unicast outperforms Long Term Evolution V2X (LTE-V2X) broadcast in transmission efficiency. Vehicle density was varied as a parameter, and Packet Delivery Rate (PDR) was used as the metric. The results showed that NR-V2X unicast achieves higher reliability than broadcast in medium-to-high load scenarios when vehicles transmit information.
