Abstract

In this paper we propose an intelligent wheel chair which consider patient safety and help mobility of patients in indoor environment specifically. Different sensors are used for mesasureing patient parameter and emergency situation like fire or obstacle or sudden fall. The “Nurse Assistant” module of the model help in absence of nurse and can function in manual or hand gesture mode. It provides real time alerts in any emergency situation. All modules are integrated and tested with real life data for smooth operations. Feedback taken from users and improved performance by fine tuning of software and sensor components. It enhances safety and work independently.
