Strategic Unification: How Blazor is Redefining Enterprise Web & AI Stack
Abstract
Traditional polyglot stacks are disappearing in favour of One High-Performance Environment (HPE). This paper provides an analysis of Microsoft's Blazor Framework's potential for Future Sustainability and Strategic Benefits to Microsoft.NET Investments by examining Architectural Patterns, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and Real World Implementations of both the Texas Advisory Notification System (TXANS), Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA) Platforms, Texas Agriculture Portal (TAP) and Food Service Management Company (FSMC). Long Term, Blazor is likely to outlive competing JavaScript-based Single Page Applications (SPAs) such as React and Angular. The paper also includes An Examination of how Developer Productivity can increase when a Developer's C# Skills are combined into one Language, while simultaneously improving Performance through WebAssembly (WASM), with Stabilized Support through annual Long-Term Support (LTS) Road Maps provided by Microsoft. By providing Developers with a Technical Debt Reduction Tool, and minimizing their Cognitive Load for those already within the Microsoft Ecosystem, Blazor is positioned as a sound Investment for Enterprises.
