Abstract

This research is concentrated on the concept of agentic AI-based process automation in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India in hopes of enhancing productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness. It has been done in the manner of mixed-methods research, in which qualitative data, gathered in the form of interviews and surveys, are supplemented with a quantitative study of operation indicators, including accounting precision, conformity rates, and task productivity. The findings indicate that different generations and industries have a high acceptance of the adoption of AI, and formalized businesses are better prepared as they have access to digital infrastructures such as GST APIs and e-invoicing systems. The agentic type of AI systems, being capable of autonomous decision-making, predictive analysis, and adaptive learning, can be at the forefront in optimizing several fields, including accounting, inventory management, customer service, and regulatory compliance. The paper has also introduced an AI-enhanced online guide, which would assist the owners of MSMEs in the formalization and AI literacy. According to the findings, the agents AI application may result in the Indian MSMEs becoming data-intelligent, self-optimizing, and evergreen organizations that are likely to grow, innovate, and become global and break the barriers of digital literacy and operational efficiency.
