Abstract

Retina Scope is an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tool designed to assist in the early detection of retinal diseases through deep learning techniques. It identifies initial indicators of conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, which, if left untreated, may result in vision loss or blindness. The system analyzes retinal images captured by fundus cameras and highlights potential anomalies for further examination by medical specialists. By prioritizing high-risk cases, Retina Scope helps reduce the diagnostic burden on ophthalmologists, enabling faster and more accurate decision-making. This approach supports early intervention, which can significantly improve patient outcomes. The overarching goal of this development is to create a scalable and reliable solution that contributes to the advancement of ophthalmology and enhances the reach of telemedicine services.
