Abstract

One major global safety concern is traffic accidents brought on by drunk drivers, sleepy drivers, and unexpected medical conditions like heart attacks. Long-distance driving and nighttime driving are common times for fatigue-related crashes, and drinking alcohol reduces cognitive function and reaction time, which raises the risk of accidents. Unexpected cardiac episodes while driving might also have serious repercussions if they are not treated right away. Automotive safety has advanced, but identifying and reducing these human elements is still a major problem, particularly in real-time situations. Current driver safety systems usually concentrate on identifying a particular risk factor, like drunk driving or sleepiness. While alcohol detection systems use breath analyzers built into the ignition system, drowsiness detection frequently uses eye-tracking cameras or steering behaviour analysis. Nevertheless, there are drawbacks to these techniques, like the need for the driver to actively blow into the sensor or their sensitivity to sunlight. Furthermore, most traditional systems lack real-time health monitoring to identify crises like heart attacks. They may therefore be unable to appropriately address intricate, multifaceted risk scenarios that arise while driving and lack complete coverage. The technology instantly turns on a parking light and safely stops the vehicle if the driver falls asleep, gets drunk, or exhibits symptoms of a heart attack. Through the simultaneous management of several risk factors, this technology dramatically enhances driver safety and lowers the likelihood of accidents.
