Abstract

Work stress has a great impact on the health, productivity and efficiency of the organization in general. The present paper suggests a smart wearable-based system that will track stress in real-time and offer adaptive interventions that can be used to improve workplace well-being. The wearable bands used in the system have physiological sensors such as heart rate sensors and galvanic skin response sensors used to continuously monitor the level of stress. Collected data will be safely sent to a centralized web portal that will enable the supervisors to analyze stress patterns, monitor employee well-being, and assign tasks more successfully depending on the circumstances of the individual stressors. The system has adaptive interventions by adjusting to real-time stress levels like playing music to calm or activate energy, changing lighting conditions and showing timely relaxation cues. These interventions are expected to be used to minimize stress, and increase concentration and productivity at work. Simulations and user feedback show that the system is an effective stress detection system and mechanical to provide adaptive reactions, which results in a higher employee satisfaction and productivity. The proposed methodology will provide a multifaceted solution to current-day workplace stress management, ensuring cognitive well-being and giving organizations the opportunity to act proactively and make data-driven decisions.
