Agent-Based Model for Real-Time Forest Fire, Early Warning and Alerting System
Abstract
Forest fires pose significant challenges for prediction and early detection, necessitating advanced technologies to mitigate their impact. The research proposes the design and development of an early warning and alert system for forest fires using an agent-based model. This study analyzes communication protocols, the Fire Weather Index (FWI) model, and system performance to enhance fire detection accuracy and response scalability. Key findings indicate that the proposed agent-based model demonstrates improved performance compared to existing technologies, such as wireless sensor networks and camera-based systems. However, the system’s performance could be further optimized by implementing customized communication protocols, which would enable agents to communicate and coordinate more effectively in real-time environments.
