The Future of Chronic Disease Management: AI, IoT, and Big Data Integration
Abstract
The technology within the healthcare industry has generally grown exponentially in the twenty first century thanks to the use of big data, blockchain, IoT and AI since the healthcare sector has been revolutionizing under the use of the technologies especially in patient specific medicine and chronic illnesses. In this paper, the author analyses the role of these technologies as realized in the paradigm known as the Healthcare 5.0 in the creation of customized treatment plans, improvement of the process of diagnosis, and continuous observation. On the one hand, big data is a very strong means of diagnostics and individual treatment where AI is complicated in its predictive capabilities and suggestions. Conversely, innovative health systems also facilitate safe data management and real-time management due to blockchain and IoT technologies. The evaluation also indicates the modifications in the detection of mental health conditions, such as the use of eye-tracking and dialogue tools in tracking and early diagnosis of mental conditions daily. Nonetheless, there are still a number of challenges, including the necessity of proceduralising, ability to explain algorithms, and data security. Once more, the review goes back to the issue of how to gain the benefits of these technologies: how to respond to the concerns of increased privacy protection, truly neutral AI systems, and in-depth research. Research in the future must aim at addressing these issues to attain effective patient-centred care, enhance the management of chronic diseases, and enhance mental health care.
