The Impact of Lithium-Ion Batteries Participating in Grid Frequency Regulation on Battery Lifespan
Abstract
In this paper, the impact of lithium-ion batteries on their service life after participating in frequency modulation is taken as the primary research goal, and the charge and discharge test of lithium-ion battery is studied, and the impact on the battery life is analyzed under two different conditions: simulated frequency modulation and normal charge and discharge. The biexponential model for life estimation of lithium-ion batteries is constructed, the particle filter algorithm was used to predict the lithium-ion battery RUL, the charging and discharging test of the battery was simulated by frequency modulation, the remaining capacity of the battery was predicted based on the data obtained from the experiment, and the attenuation curve of the remaining capacity of the battery was drawn with the remaining capacity of the battery, so as to predict the decline of the battery capacity to study the impact of lithium-ion batteries participating in the frequency modulation of the power grid on the battery life. The results show that reasonable control of the frequency modulation interval can effectively alleviate the attenuation of battery capacity, providing theoretical support for optimizing grid-storage system interaction efficiency.
