Abstract

This paper examines existing and promising methods for detecting various defects in the external structures of telecommunications facilities. The purpose of this work is to define criteria for selecting appropriate methods for examining and analyzing defects in the external structures of telecommunications facilities. The relevance of this research is determined by the need to promptly identify and prevent potential problems caused by leaks, deformations, and loss of thermal insulation in telecommunications infrastructure facilities. Such phenomena lead to negative consequences, including deterioration in the technical condition of equipment, increased operating costs, and potential risks of emergency situations. The object of this study is the external structures of telecommunications facilities. The subject of this study is the criteria for selecting the appropriate defect detection method. The research methodology consists of methods of theoretical analysis, comparison, description, systematization, and generalization. Finally, conclusions are drawn and recommendations are given for selecting appropriate methods for detecting various defects in the external structures of telecommunications facilities.
