Abstract

Hardware warehouses that rely on manual inventory tracking often experience human errors, delays, and limited real-time visibility. This project presents an IoT-based Smart Inventory Management System that automates stock tracking to enhance accuracy and efficiency. The system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller with RFID, ultrasonic sensors, a$4 \times 4$keypad, and an LCD display, and also supports barcode scanning through the Scan-IT to Office mobile application. Inventory data are automatically logged to Google Sheets and monitored in real time through the Blynk cloud platform. Testing using Wokwi simulation and physical prototype implementation achieved a 100 success rate across all phases, confirming reliable stock detection, user interaction, and seamless synchronization with cloud services. The system effectively improves inventory control in small- to medium-scale warehouses. Future development will focus on scalability testing with multiple ESP32 controllers, additional sensors, and concurrent users. Long-range RFID, offline data storage, and AI-based analytics will be integrated to improve detection range, system robustness, and automated demand forecasting for larger warehouse environments.
