Abstract

This work presents an IEEE 802.15.4a/z/ab compatible IR-UWB TX using an anti-phase delayed dual-Gaussian pulse with self-delay pulse comb-notch to maximize the spectrum utilization while meeting global masks. A slope-aware non-uniform interpolation suppresses sampling aliases by 11dB. A dual-level switched-capacitor PA cuts sidelobe emission up to 12dB. The TX draws 11.4mW, reaches 83.4% spectrum utilization and near-in sidelobe (≤35dBr at 489MHz) with ≥9× smaller area than prior arts.
