Abstract

This paper presents a 98.5 dB SNDR, 250 kHz bandwidth CT incremental Zoom ADC. The design features a chopped capacitive front-end, Gm-C residue integrator, and 10b SAR ADC. A smart-tracking (ST) technique with dynamic step-sizing extends the input tracking bandwidth to the Nyquist frequency. A floating-tail-resistor (FTR) linearized Gm-C integrator achieves high linearity and efficiency. Fabricated in 28nm CMOS, the ADC consumes$400 \mu \mathrm{W}$and achieves a superior 186.5 dB FoMs.
