Abstract

We present a CMOS self-programmable twin PUF which can be formed at the pre-wafer-dicing stage via photovoltaic harvesting. Two adjacent PUFs share entropy during oxide breakdown, enabling mutual authentication without pre-stored secrets. The prototype is implemented with twin PUF macros with a$128 \times 8$array and achieves 98.4% pairwise consistency with 0.4% native BER. Using a low-cost LED, we demonstrate photovoltaic twin-PUF generation, confirming wafer-level batch processing feasibility.
