A Resolution Enhanced Coherent Doppler Wind Lidar Enabled by Spectrum Deconvolution
Abstract
Spatial resolution is a crucial parameter in wind detection. By treating the measured backscattered spectrum as an image blurred by the system's point spread function (PSF), the image deconvolution method is applied to the coherent Doppler wind lidar (CDWL) systems, achieving spatial resolution beyond the conventional pulse-width limitation. The Wiener deconvolution and a self-supervised SelfDeblur network are employed to effectively mitigate PSF-induced effects. To reduce the crosstalk during the deconvolution, an amplitude correction processing is introduced, addressing the problem of insufficient iterations at low-CNR regions. The effectiveness of these deconvolution methods is validated through comprehensive simulations and experimental demonstrations, confirming the capability of enhancing both spatial resolution and wind field retrieval accuracy.
