Abstract

This letter presents a low-profile module-integrated single-antenna concept for the unlicensed 60 GHz band that simultaneously provides wide beam coverage in both the E and H planes and stable gain over 55 to 65 GHz. Peak gain achieves 6 dBi, with half-power beamwidths up to 131° and 107° in the E- and H- planes, confirming stable wide-angle coverage with consistent gain across the band. The antenna maintains these radiation characteristics after direct integration with a communication module and supports real-time video transmission under angular misalignment, demonstrating robust behavior in practical link conditions. Taken together, the simultaneous realization of wide dual plane beamwidth, stable gain over a 10 GHz bandwidth, and robust module integrated operation in a single antenna with a single RF chain has rarely been achieved at 60 GHz and indicates suitability for compact high data rate millimeter wave (mmWave) links including wearable systems.
