Multiple Test Zones Synthesis in Multiprobe Anechoic Chamber Setups for Over-the-Air Testing
Abstract
Addressing the demand for simultaneous multi-user over-the-air (OTA) testing, this letter presents a novel field synthesis-based method to construct multiple test zones (TZs) within a multi-probe anechoic chamber (MPAC). The work establishes a system model for multi-TZ emulation, characterizing dual spherical TZs in single-ray plane wave scenarios, and subsequently introduces a genetic algorithm (GA)-based probe selection strategy tailored for multi-TZ synthesis. Comprehensive simulations utilizing clustered delay line (CDL) channel models validate the reconstruction accuracy in both dual-TZ and triple-TZ setups. Consequently, the proposed method provides a robust solution for parallel multi-device OTA testing.
