Abstract

In traditional electromagnetic-thermal-mechanical multiphysics numerical simulation methods, the densest mesh among all physical fields is usually adopted to guarantee simulation accuracy, leading to longer computation time and additional memory usage. To address this issue, nested mesh is generated by a hierarchical refinement method, where the coarse mesh is employed for thermal and mechanical simulations, while the dense mesh is dedicated to electromagnetic simulations. Information interaction between different physical fields is realized through the element information transfer technique. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively address the spatial multiscale issues, thereby significantly accelerating multiphysics simulations and reducing memory usage.
