Transmission and Stability in a Quasi-Parity-Time-Symmetric WPT System for CC/CV Operation
Abstract
The quasi-parity-time-symmetric wireless power transfer (Quasi-PT-WPT) system incorporates virtual impedance for soft-switching and enhanced system efficiency. This letter presents a thorough analysis of its transmission characteristics as a function of the gain–loss ratio, followed by a stability assessment via the describing function method (DFM). Furthermore, conditions for achieving constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) outputs are derived, and a load identification method is introduced to enable automatic CC/CV mode transition. Experimental results from a 30 V input prototype confirm stable CC and CV output at 2 A and 29 V, validate the stability criterion, and demonstrate its efficiency improvement.
