Abstract

In this Letter, a cross-correlation multiple signal classification (CC-MUSIC) scheme based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveform is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for photonic-aided W-band integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system. The optical heterodyne scheme is used to generate the W-band OFDM signal. For CC-MUSIC scheme, it uses cross-correlation method for preliminary estimation, and then MUSIC method is utilized for precision estimation. The experimental results show that, after transmission over standard single mode fiber and wireless link, the data rate is up to 3.03 Gbit/s and the bit error rate is 1.38×10-3. Meanwhile, the ranging errors of single target and multi-target are 0.6 cm and 3.6 cm, respectively. Compared with the traditional MUSIC scheme, the CC-MUSIC scheme can improve the range accuracy of sensing and reduce the complexity of system.
