Abstract

We demonstrate a photonics-assisted wireless transmission system achieving 16-Gbaud Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) signal delivery over a 30.2 km link in the D-band. The system attains a pre‑forward‑error‑correction (pre‑FEC) bit error rate below the 7% hard‑decision FEC (HD‑FEC) threshold of 3.8×10⁻³, resulting in a record capacity–distance product of 966.4 Gbps·km. By employing maximum ratio combining (MRC) diversity reception, the signal-to-noise ratio is significantly improved, further enhancing the transmission reliability.
