Circuit Model Analysis of Parity-Time Symmetric Capacitive Wireless Power Transfer
Abstract
Wireless power transfer systems often suffer from reduced performance due to misalignment and changes in transfer distance. By applying the parity-time symmetric principle, it is possible to achieve constant output power and efficiency regardless of these variations. While this concept has been widely explored in inductive systems, its use in capacitive wireless power transfer remains limited. This work provides an analytical analysis of a parity-time symmetric capacitive system using an exact circuit model, deriving closed-form expressions for resonance frequencies, power, and efficiency. Simulations confirm the model's accuracy and demonstrate robust, coupling-independent performance at high coupling levels.
