Sufficient Conditions for Memoryless Feedback Control of Time-Delay Nonlinear Systems Under Sample and Hold
Abstract
This article addresses the problem of memoryless feedback control in the largefor time-delaynonlinear systems under sample and hold. Sufficient conditions are presented under which global asymptoticstabilization (GAS) ofnonlinear systems with state delayis solvable by sampled-data state feedback. When only the system output is measurable, conditions are also identified formulti-input multi-output (MIMO) time-delay nonlinear systemsto beGAS by sampled-data output feedback. The significanceand effectiveness ofthe obtained memoryless sampled-datacontrol results are illustrated by apractical case study, numerical simulations, and applications toimportant classes of time-delay nonlinear systems satisfying a strict feedback or a feedforward growth condition, typically involving with unstabilizable and undetectable linearization.
