Corrections to “A Generalized Analytical Solution for the Directivity of Nonuniform Planar Phased Arrays Using a Universal Element Radiation Model”
Abstract
The purpose of this correction is to amend several equations in the previously published article [1]. There are two reasons for these corrections, each with their own set of affected equations. Firstly, in the original article, the magnitude (| · |) and complex conjugate (*) operators are applied toAn, the amplitude of the complex current excitation of thenthelement. Use of these operators implies thatAnis complex when, in fact, it is strictly a real-valued magnitude. Below, we provide more appropriate formulations for [1, eq. (11)] as (1), [1, eq. (12a)] as (2), and [1, eq. (17)] as (3).
