Abstract

We developed a novel system for preparing large-area YBa2Cu3O7-δ(YBCO) superconducting thin films. A series of large-area YBCO superconducting thin films were prepared by metal organic deposition using trifluoroacetates (TFA-MOD) method. The system effectively addresses the issue of atmospheric non-uniformity during large-area film preparation via TFA-MOD. As a result, well-textured YBCO films were obtained on flexible substrates. Critical current (Ic) testing revealed that a single-layer YBCO film measuring 5.0cm × 4.8cm exhibited a minimumIcof 43.3 A and a maximumIcof 82.4 A. The highestIcobtained by crystallization of the pyrolyzed tapes provided by Shanghai Creative Superconductor Technologies Co. Ltd.is 532 A.
