Maximum Thrust Control for Segmented Long-Primary Double-Sided Linear Induction Machine Based on Current Vector Optimization
Abstract
The segmented long-primary double-sided linear induction machine (SLPDSLIM) features short stroke, high acceleration, and nonperiodic transients, which impose high demands on thrust performance. To maximize thrust output, this article first analyzes the variation law of physical constraints with primary angular frequency and coupling factor. Then, the thrust-maximizing current vector trajectory for the unit machine is derived. Combined with the SLPDSLIM system’s characteristics, current vector correction is further implemented. Based on these, a novel maximum thrust control method is proposed. This method adjustsdq-axis current references in real time to ensure that the SLPDSLIM system achieves maximum thrust output. Comprehensive experiments finally validate the superiority of the proposed method.
