Multiactuator Operation Pattern Switching-Based Faulty Performance Self-Healing Control
Abstract
With the growing demands for safety and reliability, self-healing control plays a vital role as a remedial measure to mitigate the adverse effects of abnormal operation in the sewage treatment process (STP). This article attempts to design an actuator operation pattern switching-based faulty performance self-healing control (AOPS-based FPShC) scheme for the STP subject to multiple actuator faults. Therein, the total actuator operation patterns are established to provide a search library for the candidate actuator replacement, and the correlation entropy-based switching decision logics are designed for triggering the automatic switching between different actuator operation patterns. Through the implementation of residual transformation and performance function, the user-defined performance requirements imposed on the process output are realized, thereby restraining the continuous performance degradation caused by the delayed operation pattern switching. The low-pass filtering technique is invoked in the control design to deal with the coupled process dynamic. Then, the regulation performance analysis is carried out by a Lyapunov stability theorem to show the applicability of AOPS-based FPShC scheme. Finally, the experiment results testing on a STP platform validate that the proposed scheme can realize the operation pattern switching, user-defined performance requirements and faulty performance self-recovery.
