Abstract

Multiple spatial diversity channels and multiple coherent processing intervals cause differences in the target’s scattering nature, bistatic range, and bistatic Doppler frequency. The paper proposes a fully coherent fusion method for moving target detection on BeiDou-based passive multistatic radar. It first implements a signal synchronization algorithm, followed by a joint signal parameter estimation method based on the sparse algorithm and the least squares method. Lastly, a coherent matching strategy is applied to align target positions and phases in all integrated maps. This enables the multi-source coherent fusion of echoes, maximizing the target energy in practice. Both simulated and real-measured data prove the remarkable performance in weak target detection compared to the existing methods.
