Abstract

eromagnetic surveying requires compensation for the influence of aircraft dynamic interference magnetic fields.eromagnetic surveying requires compensation for the influence of aircraft dynamic interference magnetic fields.A However, the traditional Tolles-Lawson(T-L) model ignores the time-varying temperature effects, leading to dynamic measurement errors. To achieve better compensation performance under time-varying ambient temperature conditions, we propose an enhanced T-L aeromagnetic compensation model with temperature compensation. This model incorporates the influence of temperature factors on the triaxial magnetometer(TAM) into the T-L compensation model, thereby avoiding errors caused by time-varying ambient temperature and improving compensation accuracy. In dynamic experiments, when the temperature rises at a rate of 10°C/min, the traditional model uses fixed parameters and cannot track this drift, leading to compensation errors highly correlated with the temperature change trend. Experimental results show that the root mean square error (RMSE) of the total magnetic field prior to compensation was 29.97nT. Following compensation by the conventional T-L model, the RMSE was 8.15nT. Our proposed new model reduces the RMSE of the compensation error to 3.74nT and successfully detected a target magnetic anomaly signal of 13.6nT. Therefore, it can significantly reduce magnetic interference and improve the performance of TAM, which is of great importance for high-precision magnetic measurement applications.
