An LCC-LCC Compensated Simultaneous Wireless Power and Data Transfer System With Flexible Regulation and Load-Independent Constant Voltage Output
Abstract
In this paper, an LCC-LCC compensated simultaneous wireless power and data transfer (SWPDT) system is proposed to realize load-independent constant voltage (CV) output and suppress the power carrier frequency and high-frequency interference of the data transfer channel. Power is transferred via a pair of DD coils while data is directly injected into and extracted from one single D-coil, and the additional trap inductor is omitted. Combined with the characteristics of conventional LCC compensation network, a specially designed LCC compensation topology is utilized on the receiving side, both for CV output regulation and high-frequency interference suppression. The single D-coil is fully compensated by the compensation capacitors at the power carrier frequency, inhibiting the power carrier interference significantly. The performance of the power is analyzed, and the condition of the CV output regulation is provided. The mechanism of the interference suppression is explored, and the influence of the circuit parameters on the noise suppression is also discussed. It is proven that the CV output with high-quality data transfer can be obtained in the proposed system. Finally, an experimental prototype with 104.5 V output voltage and 200 kbps data rate is designed to verify the feasibility of the proposed system.
