Metamaterial-Assisted Dual-Band Magnetically Insulated Line Oscillator
Abstract
In this article, a metamaterial-assisted dual-band magnetically insulated line oscillator (DBMILO) is demonstrated. The complementary electric split ring resonators (CeSRRs) have been used in the dual-band slow wave structure (SWS) to form the metamaterial-assisted RF interaction structure. Using the particle-in-cell (PIC) solver code, the RF behavior of both the suggested designs is investigated. The proposed device generates two frequencies in two different bands, i.e.,2.25 and 9.17GHz. The collective RF peak is ~7.8 GW with a peak power efficiency of ~26.20% when an input DC potential of 480 kV and a beam current of 62 kA are employed.
