Abstract

This paper addresses the stability and reliability issues associated with the application of linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) in hybrid PV-battery microgrids. A hierarchical control strategy tailored for bidirectional DC-DC converter in the system is proposed. The strategy comprises an outer voltage regulation loop implemented with an enhanced LADRC and an inner current tracking loop driven by a proportional-integral (PI) controller. Specifically, the traditional LADRC is enhanced via an improved linear extended state observer, which achieves separate compensation for low-order and high-order disturbances. Additionally, the observer parameters are optimized in real time based on the Twin Delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (TD3) algorithm. Finally, simulations and experiments under multiple operating conditions are conducted to validate the proposed control strategy, demonstrating its superior performance over double closed-loop PI control and traditional LADRC.
