Reconnection-Time-Optimal Fractional-Chaotic SIR-Gossip Control for Resilient Microgrid Islanding and Reconnection
Abstract
The rapid growth of distributed renewable generation and inverter-based resources has heightened the need for control strategies that guarantee both safety and freshness during microgrid islanding and reconnection, such as those used in real-time dynamic network environments. In the specific scenario of microgrid reconnection, existing schemes like randomized gossip, asynchronous gossip, and fractional-order consensus can not effectively exploit fractional memory and trust-SIR dynamics, leading to slow convergence and high reconnection time. In this paper, we propose a unified fractional-chaotic susceptible-infected-recovered (SIR)-Gossip controller (UFSC) to solve the existing problem of minimizing reconnection time while ensuring safety, integrity, and freshness. By optimizing the closed-form exponents and utilizing a co-designed framework of trust recovery, risk expansion, and consensus acceleration, our approach achieves provably minimal reconnection time and superior consensus accuracy. The experiment results demonstrate the advantages of our approach in improving reconnection time by up to 46% and reducing consensus error by up to 30%, outperforming traditional methods in terms of synchronization, trust recovery, and overall system performance.
