Distributed Energy Management for All-Electric Ships With Solar Integration: A Multidisturbance Resilient Approach
Abstract
To reduce pollution emissions of sailing ships, solar energy is widely used in the ship integrated energy systems (SIES). Considering the variabilities of solar energy and load demand under complex sea conditions, a multi-disturbance-resilient distributed energy management (MDRD-EM) strategy is proposed to solve the energy management problem, to fulfill the safe navigation tasks under the relatively accurate optimal energy management decisions. Firstly, considering the random illumination, the uncertain effect of the photovoltaic panel (PV) output power cost is characterized by white noise. Moreover, the uncertain load demand is caused by multiple disturbances from the marine environment and mechanical operation, whose the spectral density are not constant. So the general noise is introduced to describe uncertain load demand. Then, the stochastic energy management model for the SIES is established, by the penalty-based method and variable substitution. Meanwhile, the MDRD-EM strategy is proposed to solve the energy management problem (EMP) for the SIES based on the incremental gradient descent method. Furthermore, the noise-to-state (NOS) stability of the proposed strategy is proven, which means that multiple noises can be tolerated to obtain the optimal energy management decision with the mean-square errorO(η). It can guarantee the stable navigation of the ship under the complex sea conditions. Finally, the simulation case verifies the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
