Abstract

Measuring mask ventilation: capnography is betterW€ unsch et al. [1] propose the five-point MASCAN score to define difficulty with facemask ventilation. We think that this score over-emphasises routine techniques, undervalues outcome and wrongly omits capnography.Figure 1 Scale to grade facemask ventilation by its outcome.Modified from [5], with permission from Elsevier.
