Abstract
| Co-Sleeping and Other Factors Increasing the Risk of SIDSThe advice to change from prone to supine sleeping contributed to a dramatic reduction in sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) in the 1990s.Göran Wennergren, who was one of the experts behind the Swedish guidelines to prevent SIDS during that period, discusses this important subject in a mini review [1].He explores how to reduce the risks, discusses the updates and particularly the controversy on parental co-sleeping with their baby. His paper is based on the speech he gave when he was awarded a prestigious Rosén von Rosenstein medal in 2025 for his contribution to paediatrics.
