Abstract

ABSTRACT While mammalian feces are recognized as a key resource for dung beetles, their use of reptile feces remains understudied. We recorded 1013 individuals from 20 species attracted to Chelonoidis denticulatus (yellow‐footed tortoise) feces in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, highlighting the overlooked relevance of reptile feces as a resource for dung beetles.
