Abstract

The study data are available via the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, or by contacting the corresponding author. Figure S1: The rate of monthly intravitreal injection prescriptions in Australia per indication between 2019 and 2024 for (a) aflibercept, (b) ranibizumab, (c) dexamethasone, (d) faricimab-svoa and (e) brolucizumab. Before October 2020, prescriptions for RVO and CNV secondary to AMD were listed under the same PBS codes for aflibercept (2168D) and ranibizumab (10 138 N, 1382R) and are thus excluded from these graphs. AMD: age-related macular degeneration, DMO: diabetic macular oedema, PM: pathologic myopia, NIPSU: non-infectious posterior segment uveitis, RVO: retinal vein occlusion (central or branch).
