Therapy‐Related Acute Myeloid Leukaemia Arising in a Patient With Relapsed Follicular Lymphoma
Abstract
A 65-year-old man with relapsed follicular lymphoma developed pancytopenia and circulating blasts. Bone-marrow revealed 20% myeloblasts and adverse hypodiploid cytogenetics, supporting therapy-related acute myeloid leukaemia. This case illustrates the need for long-term monitoring in patients receiving intensive lymphoma therapy, like alkylating agents and fludarabine.
