Nerve Stimulator‐Guided Epidural Anesthesia in a Rhesus Macaque ( Macaca mulatta )
Abstract
A male rhesus macaque underwent inguinal hernia repair under general anesthesia, with epidural anesthesia administered at the fourth lumbar vertebral level using a nerve stimulator-guided technique. This method provided effective analgesia and stable hemodynamics, supporting its potential as an objective alternative to landmark-based approaches in nonhuman primates.
