Comment on “Effectiveness of Nurse‐Led Interventions on Emergence Delirium in Paediatric Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis”
Abstract
Dear Editor, We read with great interest the study by Fu et al. (2025) examined the effectiveness of nurse-led non-pharmacological interventions for the prevention and mitigation of emergency delirium in paediatric surgical populations. The authors addressed a clinically relevant and underexplored domain in perioperative nursing, offering a rigorous synthesis that elevates nursing-led care from adjunctive support to a measurable therapeutic strategy.Their work meaningfully contributes to evidence-based paediatric nursing practice by consolidating outcomes that directly affect safety, recovery quality, and long-term behavioural trajectories.
