Letter to the Editor “Predictive Capacity of the Integrated Care for Older People Screening Tool to Assess Fall Risk in Older Adults in Geriatric Care”
Abstract
Key Points The domains of physical ability and hearing in the ICOPE screening tool are significantly associated with the risk of falls in the elderly. 85.8% of the participants in elderly care services were identified as being at high risk of falling. The internal capacity (IC) assessment offers a much more comprehensive multi‐dimensional perspective for fall prevention compared to the assessment of frailty.
