Abstract
Three strains of fine filamentous cyanobacteria were isolated from freshwater lakes in Hubei province, China. A polyphasic analysis based on morphology, ecology, 16S rRNA gene phylogenies, and 16S-23S internal transcribed spacer (ITS) rRNA region secondary structures was undertaken.
