Abstract

Summary statement SlMYC2 reduces Cd translocation from roots to shoots in tomato by activating SlF3'H‐dependent flavonoid biosynthesis in roots. SlMYC2 also modulates water transport and oxidative stress responses, playing a key role in Cd stress adaptation and offering a target for breeding low‐Cd vegetable crops.
