TEMPUS/PACHA: de la creación contemporánea a la creatividad del muyu
Abstract
This article has the goal of describing the creative process of the interdisciplinary piece TEMPUS/PACHA, which unites text, music, sound art, performance, image and mise-en-scène surrounding Andean cosmotechnics. The text proposes an autoethnographic methodology, which emphasizes the confrontation between hegemonic models of artistic production and divergent conceptual or aesthetic paradigms. Similarly, it describes the technical and formal aspects of the piece’s construction, which is modelled after a recording made for the Sound Perspectives cycle, a project from by the Centro Mexicano para la Música y las Artes Sonoras (CMMAS). The text particularly highlights the importance of language as the original mode and backbone of a society’s thought, given that, within its content and structure, many ways of perceiving the world are hidden.
