A 3DP optofluidic sensing device
Abstract
A 3D printed optofluidic sensing microdevice (10×15 mm2) was demonstrated by integrating 3D printed multimode waveguides (13 μm wide × 20 μm high) and microfluidic channels (40 μm wide and 60 μm high) on a thermal oxide and silicon substrate. A custom SLA 3D printer was used to fabricate the waveguides and microfluidic channels out of a PEGDA-based photosensitive resin. Sensing was performed using fluorescent quantum dots and fluorescent microspheres (10 μm in diameter) illuminated by a fiber-coupled 635nm laser.
